Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
