Edwards as well as Gary O'Neil Included in Wolves Managerial Contenders

Edwards and O'Neil are two of the early names in the frame to succeed Vitor Pereira as manager of Wolves.

The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend after the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the Premier League campaign.

And Edwards and O'Neil - each of whom have previous associations to the club - are part of the names to be evaluated by the club leadership.

The manager is presently at another club, which would pose a potential obstacle to his hiring at Molineux.

Nevertheless the former Luton manager - who played more than 100 of games for the club during his playing career - is said to be a leading candidate for the position.

The 42-year-old is reportedly enjoys backing from the Wolves directors as they start the search of hiring a new head coach.

O'Neil is also emerging as a unexpected contender, even though he would be a surprising appointment given he was released by Wolves in the previous winter.

The former West Ham United player is currently unemployed which means the club would not need to provide any compensation.
